The Land Of Sunshine Part1

As one or two of you already know, my OH and myself have been away for two weeks, to the land of sunshine, Cyprus.
It was our first visit to this wonderful island and I am sure it won’t be our last.
We stayed in the resort area of Protaras, which was just right for places to eat and drink and gorgeous beaches. The people of Cyprus were so friendly that we were completely bowled over by them.
These three pictures were the views taken from the balcony of our apartment in the hotel.
I think you’ll agree…beautiful beaches…hard to believe these pics were taken in November!
We also hired a car and drove up into the Troodos Mountains. I could have posted lots more pics, but didn’t want to bore you. We found this area totally awesome.
More pics to follow in part 2, including some pics of the flora and fauna…a couple will especially interest Hywel.

Nice to see your pics of Cyprus Waddy, we've had several holidays there and drove to the Troodos Mountains, wonderful views, and as you say the Cypriot folk are so friendly and helpful. Look forward to seeing part 2.

Thanks Bloomer...and yes, that is Fig Tree, beautiful. You'll have to go again...soon.
Sorry Pamg, Cyprus seems to close down about now for winter (?) seriously, they open up again the week before Easter, so get booking :)
Jaykaty...I'm sure there will be lots more holidays there for us too in the future. Keep watching for part 2.
Our first time Sheila, and never been to the Greek islands...perhaps we should try there too..

Is that Fig tree bay? sadly we never got to the Troodos Mountains..I've heard they are well worth a visit ..and you have just confirmed it :o)
