Final Part...

Sorry haven’t brought the final part of my Blog, about Cyprus before now. My OH has been wanting to visit the battlefield of Waterloo, for quite sometime and he suddenly announced on Sunday night that he wanted to go,…the next day! (men!) So that’s where I’ve been for the last couple of days..Belgium.
Ah well back to Cyprus, which was certainly warmer than Belgium.
This chap was perched hundreds of feet up on a tiny ledge..fishing! Goodness knows how he got up there.
This sculpture was representing ‘Peace’ I just thought it was so beautiful.
I saw these pretty little flowers growing in a shady spot under some small spruce trees..but I’ve no idea what they are….any ideas?
Just one of the locals lol!
The contrast between the sandy, rock and the blue sky actually hurt your eyes.
This farmer was actually grazing his sheep on scrubland in the middle of the town!
Thanks for joining me. I hope you’ve enjoyed the trip…see you again next time :)

Thanks again everyone, for your kind comments.
Sheilabub; You may well be right, although according to Google, they are a spring flower... And yes, Steragram, I felt dizzy looking at him too. How on earth he managed not only to get up there...along with chair, rod etc goodness only knows!
T.T. It made me thin how hard life must be for farmers in Cyprus. The soil is very stoney and it must be a nightmare growing anything! Farmers in our country always seem to have something to 'bleat' about...(sorry, pun not intended!)
P.P. Thanks. I think we might go back to Belgium next year...in better weather and less of a whistle stop! Hope you enjoy your break with Bloomer and her OH.
Wildrose; I absolutely agree. We met one gentleman at a crossroads, while up in Troodos. Once he had established we were not lost and didn't need help, he invited to follow him to a nearby village, to his home for a coffee! Can't see that kind of thing happening here somehow.

Nice to 'meet' you Julia. Love the sculpture, and I think the little white flowers could be Ipheon . . .
