Creeping back...spring is here :)

I have been out of action for a few months but have had some messages from GoY friends which have been much appreciated.
I’ve just spent a bit of time looking at blogs written during March and February (there are so many to catch up on!). It seems we are all getting busy in our gardens now that spring is on the doorstep and the days are lengthening and brightening up :) So nice after the dull, grey days of winter.
I am having to replace my camera so can’t provide any photos for blogs at the moment. I hope that won’t be for too much longer.
My first job in the garden is getting up the persistent weeds (they survived the winter) and begin the painting of our little summer house.
I’m looking forward to getting caught up with everyone and I expect there are quite a few new members have come on board since my absence too.
Happy gardening friends.

Pleased to see you back, Whistonlass :) It was seeing your garden rejuvenation last year that made me take the plunge and change my back garden. I will be interested to see how yours has developed.

I've been out in the garden today checking things out. I only managed an hour but got a bit of weeding and pruning/cutting back done. Some of my plants look a bit dead but I'm giving them a bit of time to see if they sprout......a lot of labels have been lost over the winter so it's a guessing game, alongside with my experience!
I still have borders that need filling and one side at least that I want to put down bark mulch.
Little by little....I'll get there....thanks for all the lovely comments and the warm welcome on my return :) x

Its lovely to have you back, now don`t be doing too much to start, a little at a time is the order of the day.
Like you I have no camera at the moment but have one on order.
Shall look forward to seeing how things are progressing once you have your camera.
Take care now.

Bit late in the day Whiston lass and glad to see you are back. Eager to see the next episode of your garden refurb. I broke my ankle in December, not yet back in full order. Take it gently if you have not been well.

Sorry you have been suffering with a broken ankle, Dorjac. Having spent 9 months some years ago with my leg in a toe to thigh cast I can empathize :(
It's been very wet and cold here for over a week now...the grass needs cutting but can't attend to that until the grass dries out....wonder how long that will be?
Happy gardening....as and when you are able.

I garden in short sessions and then take a break. Been wet for the last 2-3 days, and much needed to help with the drought in the south.

Wondering again how you are Whistonlass and hoping you can manage to keep up with your garden after having such a good makeover?. Such a shame it's been a bad year so far for us gardeners. I think my ankle is healed now. OH has not been well but we soldier on and try to make the best of it.

Very nice to be remembered, Dorjac. I am not too well just now and that has not been a welcome development, coupled with all the rain we are having, in regards to doing things in the garden. Today is the first day of sunshine for some time but the grass is much too wet and soggy to allow for a trim :( Hopefully there will be some consecutive days of better weather and then it can get seen to.
I've done some pots and planted a few new things in the borders. We bought some boxes of wildflower seeds for the shaded part of the garden and sprinkled those about. I am hoping for a miracle and that many of the seeds will sprout and give us a nice display :)
It is good that your ankle is now healed...OH and yourself continue to soldier on as you say. Lovely to hear from you.
~~ I did get a new camera a week ago and I'm just trying to get to grips with it (haha) so when I've mastered that I should be able to put up some photos. ~~

Hi Whist, how are you? nice to see your face again, lets hope you will be here to stay and we can chat along the way.

Hi Grandmage....my post above will update you....at the moment I feel a bit of a fraud calling myself a gardener as I've not really been keeping up with my garden, nor with GoY!
I like your last bit...let's hope you will be here to stay and we can chat along the way :) Kind of a catchy sentence, very clever. x
