Leaving the early signs of autumn behind.

I shouldn’t even be on here now as we are off on holiday tomorrow! However I did mention earlier to some members that it seems a shame to be going away when autumn colours are appearing all around us.
I went out to take a few pictures so that I can compare the scene in the garden when we get back.
You can see them too!
The first one was taken indoors whilst I was watching the final stage of The Tour of Britain cycling event!
I love the rich colours of autumn but I shall just have to force myself to leave them behind for a little while!
I bet you all feel so sorry for me!

Very autumnal colours Chris - I'm sure it will be a lot different on your return.

No real Autumn colours here yet, either. Your cotoneaster berries are fabulous! My Boston Ivy is just beginning to turn at one end.
Have a lovely holiday!

Lovely pics Chris! Like Pam, our Parthenocissus is still green, but a flowering dogwood (Cornus) has its autumn tints.
Enjoy your time away.

As I've got into gardening more I have found it increasingly hard to leave the garden at any time of the year as there always seems to something happening, so I know how you feel. Have a lovely holiday! Your garden is looking lovely.

Perhaps I wouldn't mind Autumn so much if I had such lovely Autumn colour. How can you just waltz off and leave all this? I think you ought to reconsider .... not that I'm jealous or anything:-))
