Today is a perfect autumn day and worthy of a photo or two!
Is it really November 1st?!
However, just a small part of me would happily miss out winter and move on to Spring next!

Good to see the Autumnal colours, though I know what you mean about looking forward to Spring.
However I am trying to live in the present at my age!!

I would gladly skip winter if it were possible, but eh ho, today has been stunning with sunshine most of the day. I hate these next two months, the only thing I console myself with is after Christmas it starts to get a little lighter each day. Beautiful pictures of your garden hope we do not get the snow that they keep saying is going to land on us. lol. Did hear a report saying it was going to be colder and more snowy than in 1963 that was the year Karen was born and I hated that, it was weeks and weeks before we left the house. Ah well fireworks party at the weekend to look forward to lol. Hope Lottie likes them. lol.

Winter has its compensations though - if we didn't have to go through the bad weather we might not be so grateful for the rest of the year?

Super pics WR. I would be quite happy to wake up tomorrow and find out we'd missed out winter! However today has been wonderfully warm in the sunshine and if it wasn't for the autumn colours and the lack of leaves on the trees it would be easy to believe it was still summer. I've also heard we're to have a hard winter, Oliveoil, I'm just keeping my fingers firmly crossed they're wrong.

I think Autumn has surpassed itself this year, and lots of summer colours still looking good too..such a lovely combination..your garden is looking lovely,Chris...I saw one of my Wallflowers coming into flower today, and one of the sweet Williams..is it really the 1st November, and warm enough to be wearing a tee shirt ? Don't wake me,if I'm dreaming ! :o)

What a lovely blog! That second photo is a work of art in itself!

Beautiful Autumn pictures, Chris! I just love them. The leaves are cascading down in earnest here. There was a sweeping machine working on the pavements on Saturday, doing a pretty good job, but today you wouldn't think there had been any sweeping at all. And there are still plenty of leaves yet to fall. It looks glorious, though.

Your garden looks very autumnal, rather like ours......I could easily hibernate, but I do love Christmas, so thats not on, and as Stera says we need the bad weather to appreciate the good!!

Lovely Autumnal photos Chris - I prefer a cold and frosty day to the grey and drizzly one we have today! I almost slipped on the wet leaves as I walked along the pavement earlier! :o(

You seem a bit more 'autumny' than we are here in Kent. It is only in the last few days that flurries of leaves have fallen into the garden and taken on gold and red colouring. My garden still seems to be growing and I am reluctant to 'tidy' up too much just yet. I did cut back some verbena and evening primrose that was flopping and ended up rescuing several hibernating ladybirds - they are now safely aboard some evergreen shrubs :)
