I know that rain is forecast again here for tomorrow but I have enjoyed every previous moment of clear blue skies and warm sunshine after what I feel has been a rotten winter!!
Here’s to more days like this one for all of us!??
My husband took me to my favourite nursery and these are two special plants that we found.
PROSTRATHERA ROTUNDIFLORA – I think its more common name is Australian mint plant but please correct me if I have got that wrong! It is very tender so will need my deep devotion to keep it alive!
EUPHORBIA TASMANIAN TIGER – a delicately coloured one.
Where is my husband now?
Pruning the apple tree!!
Well, someone has to do it!!!

Goodness, that's going to take him some time Chris! I tried to keep that purple prostanthera some years ago, to no avail, but good luck with it. A lovely plant. I manage to keep the white one, Prostanthera cuneata without much trouble and I love the aromatic foliage. If I can get a couple more I think I'll replace my rosemary's with them because Rosemary gets far too big, but the mint bush stays fairly compact and flowers much better here. :) I too have enjoyed my day in the garden. We haven't had totally unbroken sunshine, but nonetheless, it feels much better and I got loads of work done :)

yes the sun has been lovely. I forgot to put the clocks forward and didn't realise til OH came home from a weekend away and was surprised tea wasn't being prepped. I'd not been anywhere where time mattered. :o)

I like your euphorbia - what a beauty.
Karen I lost my P.cuneata after several years for no apparent reason - someone suggested phytophthera.
25 Mar, 2018
Well Karen and Stera, I have decided that if you two failed with the prodtanthera, I do NOT stand a chance!!!
Are we now all at the same time I wonder?
9.39pm here!!
25 Mar, 2018
Hmmm...no idea stera. It could be many things I guess. I lost one as well, in my last garden.
Chris...you never know! You could just grow it in your conservatory and bring it out for the summer?!
25 Mar, 2018
I can't even get its name right now so I don't hold out a lot of hope!!
However, its main home WILL be in the conservatory so we shall see!

I never got around to changing the clock in my car last year so yesterday it had the right time. ?. Your new plants look lovely. Probably too tender for me, I would kill it ☹.

We had a glorious weekend here WR but no gardening for me...I was up to my eyes in spring cleaning. I love your new Euphorbia. Sad to say, snow tipped again by Easter (sigh!)
26 Mar, 2018
Its been lovely here for a few days now, I'm crossing anything I have two of in the hopes that the forecast for Easter is wrong, however my son was born in a snowstorm April 7th, it hung around for over two weeks, don't panic yet though it was 50yrs ago, lol....

Wonderful to see some spring photos.
Prostanthera is a lovely plant. There are a few types to be had.

Beautiful show s of flowers you have .

Jen, your comment reminded me that I deliberately used to leave the time on my clock in the car at British Summertime because I much prefer the summer to the winter!!!
There is a real sense of the joy of spring in all your comments, thank you so much.

Lol. Wildrose. That sounds a good reason to me. I only use my car to take dogs out and do the shopping once a week, otherwise we go in hubbys car so I couldn't be bothered if I'm honest ?
26 Mar, 2018
I do that too Wildrose lol ! :)
but it's really because I don't know how to change it ...

We have had three gorgeous days. It is odd to imagine snow on its way.
26 Mar, 2018
Hywel, neither did I !!!
Linda, snow would be a real step backwards now!

Hello Chris, yes it was lovely to see the sun, especially on Sunday ! We went for our first walk down the prom (with wheel chair) of the year. Stopped off for a toasted teacake at our favourite cafe, then another walk , followed by an icecream and actually sat outside in the sun ! Yay !
Of course , its all changed again since, but will have to make the most of the good days, won't we !
I love your new Euphorbia ! I hope John was careful up that tree ! I did send you another pm a while back . Hope you found it. xxx
28 Mar, 2018
Rose, I managed to miss that pm somehow so will reply soon!
Yes, we must take advantage of every nice day when it comes as they have been few and far between!
28 Mar, 2018
Hywel I'm like you, never found out how to change the time in the car. What are we like...
Wildrose I knew nothing about Prosantheras when i bought it. There was a big one growing outside in the little nursery I got it from. It lived for several years and then suddenly had had enough.
