Daylilies & a couple of others

I am continuing to be thrilled by the Senecio cineraria I have in pots:

If you like variegated foliage, you should consider a front of the border plant like Agapanthus ‘Tinkerbell’. Only 18" to the top of the flowers, a light blue, and small variegated foliage.

Several named daylilies are open, and one that I have been using a lot is Crystal Blue Persuasion:

Also open is Ma Ocean:

And there is Get Jiggy. It has taken a while for this one to start looking like it is supposed to, but finally it does.
This is why it takes several years to grow a seedling before it gets registered – it takes that long for any daylily to settle in, even the named ones.

My crowd of seedlings are showing off:

  1. Core Values x Life is a Highway

  1. - For one with a watermark (a lighter shade of the main color, between the throat and self) there is Marseilles Watercolor x El Aventura:

  1. - A bright one, Fuoco del Sole x Frog’s Eye:

  1. - One of my favorite patterned types, Core Values x (Magnificent Hummingbird x Audubon’s Oriole), which measures in at 7" across:

  1. - One that keeps opening as a poly and is 9" across is So Many Stars x Free Wheelin’:

  1. - Then there is one that has severe quilling, curling of the petals where it doesn’t lay flat, but stands up. It is an Unusual form with pleated and sculpted petals. This is using Eder sdlg 0009 x Strikingly Dramatic:

ooh so pretty.
just how many named daylilies do you have? or don't you know? I suppose with all the crosses you wont really know which ones will become named in time.

That Agapanthus is unusual, only found one supplier in the Uk, expensive. And of course your Daylilies are gorgeous.

I have about 150 named daylilies. I have found that using a 2nd generation with a 1st gen. gives better results than 1st x 1st. Since I save only around 20 from each year, there are mostly failures.
I tracked down where I got the Agapanthus from - it was on eBay.co.uk, but the seller was maderiaexotics who is in Madeira, of course. Only £7.50 + 4.50 P&H
