It is mid-season for daylilies

With tons of flowers open every day, it is mid-season for my daylilies. So, a couple of named daylilies…

Move Over

Those three are Diploids. Now for some Tetraploids:
Whale Tails

Pico Matias Simão (mine, but it is registered)

And then there are the seedlings. First up, siblings!
#1: Move Over x (Beautiful Edgings x Feminine Fingers)

  1. Emozione x (Angel Fairy Tern x Judge Nancy) It is heavy on the purple!

#4: Crystal Blue Persuasion x (Summer Star x Heavenly Curls) Love the contrast of curled petals vs the ridged sepals.

#5: (Eder 0009 x Strikingly Dramatic) x Natchez Lace. I was trying to put a heavy edge on it and got this interesting color combination.

#6: Lines of Splendor x Arno’s Bow Tie. I got Arno’s Bow Tie as a bonus plant, but it is a dormant type which may or may not survive in my climate. So I have tried spreading it’s pollen around and use it frequently. I have noticed that its offspring have a high rate of being polys (4 or 5 petals & sepals instead of the usual 3 each.)

#7: Here is another that frequently has polymerous flowers, Marked by Lydia x Clairvoyant Lady

#8: I previously posted a photo of one with tightly curled petals. Today I have crossed that to one that also displays a similar pinched crispate form. This is "Star of Portugal’. Noticed how pinched the inner part of the petals is, making the throat of the sepals look huge.

#9: Finally, there is a favorite that has a really nice edge,
(Amber Rhum x Kazoo) x Gilded by Grace

Thanks! I'm trying to get some really nice ones. My personal favorite is Seedling#1. It looks a lot better in real life with the hint of blue running through the eye and its large throat.
Thrupennybit has a sibling of the last one, and it should look just as nice.

I edited my blog to reflect that #8 is now "Star of Portugal'. I got an email saying that its registration was approved as a 2019 introduction.
