Some of the plants in my garden are very confused by this autumn. Here are some in flower today that I would not have expected.
ACANTHUS SPINOSSIMUS
CAMPANULA POSCHARSKYANA
ECHINOPS RITRO
GERANIUM ‘ROZANNE’
ROSA ‘THE FAIRY’
ROSA x ALBA ‘SEMI-PLENA’
CLEMATIS FLORIDA ‘SIEBOLDII’
With thanks to J.P.McEnroe for the quote used in the title.

Unbelievable!! The only one I'm not surprised is flowering is the rose 'The Fairy'. I've seen mine flowering here in November with snow on it some years. But the rest.....amazing.!! Great blog. Thanks for sharing. :o)

Friends in the Horticultural profession tell us it's all down to 'global warming' Andrew.
We still had foxgloves flowering until three weeks ago- unbelievable!!!
The forecast for the West Country is a really cold spell, so we must all watch out!

It really is confusing. I don't know whether to be glad that the flowers are around for longer or worried that the climate is going haywire?

Rachelsmum - this one was planted a couple of months ago and decided it ought to flower now. I cut the flower (and a couple of buds) off because I don't want it use too much energy before facing its first winter
