~We had a few hours yesterday afternoon before returning home to Swansea.
It was a lovely day at Kew with lots of people enjoying the sunshine.
Wisteria
This was taken outside the cafe at the Victoria gate entrance.
This was one of a number of Berberis which glowed in the sunshine.
This is blossom of a Paulownia Tomentosa.Very unusual.
Me with a Silver Lime.
and sycamore seeds and tree
And this amazing Buckeye Tree
A view of the Pagoda.
A tree hugger!~my husband!
An amazing bird!~A Golden Pheasant.
A beautiful view of the lake.
Canada geese with brood.
Kew’s amazing bluebells!
and finally Queen Charlotte’s cottage.
and then we went home!

~one that has been made a long time!

I remember that too, Spritz! My Dad used to take me there I think with a view to turning me into a gardener but, sadly, it never worked until he passed away and I took up his mantle, but memories of the Tropical House will stay with me forever.

Thanks for showing these photos Arlene. Kew is a place I'd love to visit one day. Only been there once back in the 70s.

You are far too young to remember old pence, Toto - say after me - 'twelve pence equals one shilling', etc etc.
Hehe - you can tell I was a teacher, can't you?

Certainly can Spritz. I'm not really that young. I had my 21st. birthday during the early part of last month.

What a treat - I love Kew Gardens. I shall show my age by remembering when it cost one old penny to get in!!!
