This has been a long hard winter and we have put a lot of time and money into trying to get the birds through it.We have about a dozen feeders and at times it is very busy~

I apologise for the mess in my back garden, everything has been moved and is piled up!But this will be having a make over after the nice man from Sky comes and puts my High Deff box in next week~

I will be able to get my new greenhouse in and all my pots sorted and the leaking waterfall between my pools fixed.Yay! But in the meantime back to the birds:- taken through the kitchen window!

Oh I do so envy you Arlene, Two of my favourite birds that sadly don't visit. In summer I get a nesting pair of Goldfinches but I never see a Bulfinch.

~ we have had quite a few birds visit this year such as the Siskins and Blackcap that we don't usually have~ down to the severe weather of course! Sometimes we just stand and watch as they all come and go~
I hadn't seen the Sparrowhawk for some time but she was in the woods the other day and I could hear a Woodpecker really close by~so could Harvey with his head on one side!

~ sad Jane~If we could feed just them somehing to stop them taking the birds..
freeze dried mice or baby chicks I would feel sorry for!
There is a chicken farm fairly local and the owner has a massive avairy and has an fantastic Eagle Owl~stunning!
He gets fed baby chicks~ fortunately not live ones!
Lincslass ~ Sunflower hearts go down a treat!

A friend of mine once looked after an injured Eagle Owl...and ordered frozen day old chicks for it to eat.... they are magnificent owls........

~yes Sandra in order to not get the bars of the Georgian windows in the way and counteract the double glazing we have to put the camera right up to the glass~

Lovely to be so close to the birds - I am afraid Phoebe would be a bit of a challenge . Our feeders have to be high up out of her way. But today the squirrel was feeding from one - he was hanging upside down and really tucking in. grrrrrrrrrr...........................!
