My inner child tends to believe in magic.
I like these photos, they are some of my favorites and somehow to me they are magical.

I took this picture a few years ago.
The rain was pouring down as David (My late husband) and I took a drive and stopped at one of our favorite spots to look at the harbor. I noticed big puddles of water as we pulled in. To our surprise an entire flock of pigeons landed and began fussing and fighting as they fluffed up their feathers.
I had David lean ahead so I could shoot across his back and then had him lean back so I could shoot across his front…lol..he thought the shots would never come out taken from inside the car. He did roll his window down for me. :)
I have not only this one, which I think is the best but a lot of happy pigeon bathing shots to enjoy.
David was thrilled to see them and was so happy that the camera he gave me for Christmas was such a good choice.

This Photo of my Fairies at play in my flower cart was taken only this last summer.
I am so glad that I took it as I have had to dismantle my garden.
This memory is so lovely to view.

These lovely Welsh Pony’s delighted me while traveling with GF in the Welsh Hills…I caused a traffic jam that GF had to deal with while I got this shot..many happy Thank You’s to him for that!

Here, I have a shot of this Fairy Tale Swan from Beaumaris Castle In North Wales. I took this shot while I was there last May visiting Sir Bear of the North Welsh Woods :) Gardeningfriend, as most of you know him. :)

And Beaumaris Castle and it’s lovely drawbridge and moat.

Joanella...I store memories all the time..and am so lucky when I get to have a photograph as well..thank you.
Sueb...those magic moments like yours are just as treasured as the ones we manage to get in photo's ...I am happy you captured your fox in your mind. :)

lovely Catfinch, you are so on the button these are fantastic memories.

but some of my most magical moments just cant be captured fully on camera..... the safe arrival of Elizabeth 1992 and Victoria 1997 and the continued joy as they grow to womanhood. [teenages and joy and oxymoron if ever i heard of one :o))]

And magical smells:f reshly dug soil , a walk in a wood during bluebell time.

mmmmmm ideas for other blogs perhaps :o)

Lovely photos Cat, and lovely memories too. The fairies at play in your garden looks so sweet. What a lovely idea. I can imagine the delight if I could do that and one of my grandaughters found it. What a good idea. I'm going to do it as I have 3 little fairy figures and a little granddaughter will be here in May
Well actually she is a great-granddaughter, she'll love it. Better not do it for my granddaughters they're all in their twenties! All your photos are lovely, and those memories you have of actually taking them are so precious.

Mad..sometimes the 20year olds love them even more..it makes them remember that there is a child still inside of them. I have never out grown my childhood.... :) I have grand daughters, but to be honest, :) I did it for me while I was playing and everytime I looked at them, I let my childs imagination run off with them. I still have them, I will be putting them in a flower pot somewhere again... :)

I would love to hear some more of yours... :) I loved what you said SBG...there are so many ways we remember, with scents and feelings. Like you said the smell of fresh dug earth is so comforting to me. I could go on and on with the earth and growing smells..wonderful...
