Well, I imagine you've left out the neglected bits because it all looks beautiful. What a wonderful setting and I do hope they manage to get things back on track. Also, congratulations on 50 years together, which seems impossible, looking at the picture of you on the bridge, as you look incredibly youthful!! Hope you had a wonderful time in the New Forest; how lovely of your OH to arrange that.

Spinners I have not seen for many years when I did visit several times in 1980s It influenced the layout of my garden but of course on a much smaller scale, is there still a nursery within.

Congratulations to you both on your 50th DD. Quite an achievement these days, well done. Pleased you enjoyed your little time away. Not been to Spinners but some interesting things going on there by the looks of it.

AN ACHIEVEMENT OR NOT I DO NOT KNOW AS I HAVE MANY RELATIVES AND A FEW LIVING HERE IN LONDON WHO HAVE BEEN TOGETHER FOR 60 AND 70 YEARS. MY PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS DID THE SAME.
DIFFERENT VALUES, DIFFERENT PRIORITIES, DIFFERENT EXPECTATIONS, DIFFERENT QUALITY OF LIFE I DO NOT KNOW.
I HAVE BEEN MARRIED MYSELF FOR 44 YEARS AND UNLESS ONE OF US DIE I CAN SEE NO REASON WHY WE WILL NOT MAKE IT FIFTY OR MORE YEARS TOGETHER. WE HAVE OUR ARGUMENTS AND DISAGREEMENTS EVERY DAY BUT SEPARATION AND DIVORCE HAS NEVER BEEN CONSIDERED AS A BETTER OPTION.

There are lots of lovely gardens in that area..I think Knoll Gardens Is one of my favourites with lots of grasses and spectacular Eucalyptus trees!

Loved the walk, that's one I didnt know about. It sounds a bit like Minterne Magna (would you believe it, Carol Klein did a piece on that on Gard.World the other week). That "slightly neglected" feel. But still very worth going to.
