Pamg you are so right, it blended in beautifully, a very clever lady runs the Hotel and she has some excellent ideas for the future...
Sheila thanks it was a lovely place, we could not fault it in any way, except it is quite difficult to find!! 'that tree' was out of this world, I took so many photographs of it, I was convinced it was real when I first saw it....Pleased you liked the blog.

I have just seen p1. Dd so thought I would write on this one and say many congratulations to you a both on reaching such a grand milestone, and this hotel and garden above is truly a beautiful place, well chosen by you two, so glad you had a good time, I really love that metal 'lily' on the decking it's amazing. We have seen those LED trees at our local GC and they are very expensive. Great blog, thank you.

I missed part 1 too - a belated congratulations to you both :)
I also agree with Pam - not OTT as some artwork can be.

GM and Scottish thanks for you good wishes, I do not think I will be buying any of the Art work well above our price range, unless we win the lottery!!

Congratulations from me too. What a wonderful hotel and garden. All the artwork was terrific, but I did like the fountain, it was so dainty.

Terrific blog, so much to see and admire. I really liked the dragon but must admit, the figure sitting on the large 'throne' was particularly lifelike :)
Glad you had such a lovely 50th anniversary celebration, I must admit I would like to see more of the art work if you have more photos, please.

How wonderful, DD. I love the sculpture after the boxing hares and the illuminated tree trunk in particular but it all looks inspiring. So glad you had something so memorable for your special occasion.

Now that is a stunning place to visit especially on your anniversary......I love the first sculpture of the bird of prey and of course the trendy young man on the seat would make a great feature in our garden....:)). Best wishes for many more happy years to come Dd!

Janey thank you very much for your kind comments, the bird of prey was my favourite, and OHs was the croc.......decided to stick with the trendy young man on the seat lol
Fran glad you approved....lol
TDB the tree was a 120 year old hollowed out oak....the sculpture after the hares was very difficult to photograph but was made from recycled materials and strung across the stream, it loked beautiful at night.
Lindak thanks, it was a very special place....
Annella if only we could afford some.......no prices on anything!!

What a lovely place, I missed part one but have caught up now......
The artwork is fascinating, this seems to fit into its site. Some in other gardens seems pretentious and clashes with its surroundings, not this........
