Tipping Container Stand

I just wanted to share the plans for a TIPPING CONTAINER STAND that I found on another website courtesy of Margie Reeves. In case any one wants to try it, the plan and complete instructions are at:
www.gardengatemagazine.com from there chose “web extras” in the menu; Click on June 2008 Issue 81; select Build a unique container. Here is what it looks like.
And here is the finished product. I think it will get better as it grows out.

They should look good with plants tumbling from them.

I have seen this idea in a garden centre over here and I have to admit it ticks all the right boxes for a simple yet very fun idea to have on display in your garden. I agree it will look pretty stunning when planted up.Nice job.Hel.xxx.

Just found this - great idea and easy to copy. Maybe we'll be able to spot GOW members by seeing these in their front gardens?

Hello Wagger,
Great idea! I have one in front and back,so I'll be doubly easy to spot. lol.

it's certainly fools-the-eye - I'm assuming that the rod is straight all the way up, but it certainly doesn't look like thre's a centre-line in the finished product! great idea and so well done

can we have a pic of how the planters look now? the plants should have filled out a bit by now!

did you ever take pics of how it looked later? I've looked through your pics but afraid I might have missed it.
just seen the same thing on Instructables - theirs is a lot fancier, but no instructions on how to actually assemble it!

The Instructables tells step by step how to assemble it. He has a parts list and everything. I'm not sure what you're looking at but there are instructions with his and none for this one.

just gone back there - durr! don't know what I was looking at, either! unless he amended it after I first saw it (any excuse ...)

That's well-made, and is going to be fantastic when full of plants. Looking forward to future photos.
PS. On my favourite photos I have pictures taken by Peter and Arlene of what looks like a FlowerPot Person. Your stand here looks suspiciously like it could come to life and walk around! :o)
