Bluebell walk

Each morning Millie and I wander around the woods for an hour or two (often depending on whether we get lost or not!). The sight and smell of the bluebells is wonderful. I’ve just found a little path that meanders over to the edge of the woods and looks down over the Romney Marsh. It wasn’t so clear this morning but we still enjoyed it.
I’v no idea what this white flower is – perhaps someone can enlighten me. There are large clusters ready to burst open.
A bonus, at the end of the walk, two jays too busy to notice Millie and I.
We were both hot and thirsty when we arrived home after two hours but it was worth it. It doesn’t seem like the same wood where we slipped and slithered through mud during the winter months :)

Lovely photos of the bluebell wood and surounding countryside :o) I lived near a bluebell wood once. I enjoyed seeing them every year.
The white flower is Ramsons or sometimes called wild garlick I think

What I lovely blog. Arent those bluebells just beautiful, do you think they are early this year?
I agree, the white flowered one is definitely wild garlic, I have some. Try crushing a leaf when you go again, on second thoughts, maybe not.

Oh how beautiful. How I'd have loved a walk through there. Pic 6 & 7 are so lovely they look like a fantasy place.
They bring to mind these words.
Oh I long for things I can not have
Like a walk in the woods
With the Bluebells in bloom
To pick a few to take back home
And place them a dainty vase
Beside me in my sitting room
Each glance and sent I'd have of them
Would remind me of how lucky I am
To have a place like the woods to go.

Reading your blogs with interest, my husband and I love Kent we visit regularly as my son lives there. The white flower you wondered about looks like wild garlic to me. You can use the leaves in your cooking its a bit more subtle than garlic bulb.
