Mr and Mrs Freaky.....

….wish to announce the arrival of their new off-spring.
When I saw them on top of the arch first thing this morning I didn’t realise they were young birds until I saw Mrs F feeding them. I ran (well, walked quickly!), bare-footed and without my glasses to find my camera. By the time I returned, slippered and spectacled, they had moved from the arch and taken cover under the shrubs.
I could hear them under the Viburnam and caught a few more glimpses but not enough to take any photograph. Mrs Freaky was getting a little bit agitated so I moved back indoors.
Mrs Freaky came to collect food and took it back to her little ones.
Daddy Freaky was also collecting food but was flying over the fence with it so I presume he was caring for other youngers in my neighbours garden. I have no idea where their nest is.
When I came back from church I looked for the youngsters but although I could hear movements I could not see them.
Jubilee checked to make sure they hadn’t fallen down the ’cliff’’….
Little ’Un looked and looked until he was so tired he laid his head on a soft piece of moss to rest…..
Josie was too busy with her favourite occupation to help!
…But they are in there somewhere, hopefully safe and sound.
Every other year I have managed to get pictures of the babies (when the parents nested in my garden) but this year I have failed. Very disappointing, but take my word for it, they were cute :)

Hi Lujean, if you look at a couple of my earlier blogs, you will see more details of my three tortoises, also some photos I have posted. Thanks for your interest. They are charming little creatures and not as slow as some people think!
