Baking Hot!

Thursday and Friday were two lovely sunny days and where was I? In the garden mowing the lawn, weeding, admiring the sunflowers? No, I was in the kitchen baking furiously for the Church coffee morning. I was doing it with my daughter (a non-baker!) and a friend.

I baked….

There was very little leftover and what there was was gleefully packed up by my grandson to take home! Afterwards I had a lovely meal out with my eldest daughter and thought I would mow the lawns when I returned home – but it has rained heavily all afternoon so still no gardening for me. I hope I can manage to do some before the next coffee morning in two weeks time!

Congratulations on raising such a good sum of money for your church. There will be other gardening days. Seeing all those lovely chocolate cakes has made me want one lol.

"GEE!!" What do you think you are doing putting blogs like that on here?

Okay, the money raised is brilliant and should be commended BUT, what are you doing putting temptation like that in my face!! LOL!

Ali hasn't seen the pics but just my description of the jam & cream scones, flapjacks and all the rest. What's worse is, we missed the chance to buy any!!

Gotta go as I've just eaten my monitor.....and to think I've been cutting back for the past month.

Well done on some fabulous baking AND moreso, on the money raised. :0))

Thank you everyone. I was delighted with the result but a bit daunted to think I have to do it all again on for the 15 August! I am trying to think of different recipes but coming up blank at the moment :)

In spite of the heavy rain yesterday afternoon I have managed to cut my back lawn today - looks much tidier :)

They look really Yummy Gee, nothing like home made!

Different ones...Bakewell Tart? Ginger cake? Parkin? I used to tray bake these then cut them up, so you get a lot of cakes from one tin.
