What a rainy cold, old day! Decided to take the camera to Normanby…we haven’t been since March….so thought there may be some pretty planting there. On the way, the heavens opened but we still managed to grab a few pics…:o)
White scented stocks and blue Lupins…..looking really cool.
Stocks, Lupins, Geum and Oriental Poppies…..I love these shades together!
All white area
Red Valerian, Doronicum and Oriental Poppy….warming up nicely.
In front of one of the Hothouses.
Beautiful double orange Poppy.
Limanthes and Alliums.
A little bit closer.
Beautiful baby pink climbing Rose covering one of the arches.
In the veggie part, adding colourful interest ……9 Stars perrenial Broccolli.

Thanks for all the great comments....you know on a day we had today the scent of those white Stocks was incredible...really heavy hanging in the air, the colour too seemed to shine.
Marjories....you lived in the next village to us, we're in Winterton...I know Winteringham very well...I have a friend there on Low Burgage...:o) Yep Sue is still the head of operations....and the Deer Park, just the same!
I'm sure you'll come up one day Amy, it is the ancestral home of our new PMs missus...:o)

Hi Bornagain.......I had a lovely yellow Geum till this last winter.....I think they're really worth growing....pretty little poppy type heads floating above other plants...I used to grow the red one which showed off the gold centre brilliantly. Yes Chandi was fantastic..and such a beauty too....didn.t she just love her mum...:o))

Normandby Park is a beautiful place. I used to live not to far from it at Winteringham. Sue Hoyle the head gardener has done a wonderful job,
Do they still have the deer park?
