Snail Tale!!

I was having a mooch round the garden, first thing, BEFORE the rain set in, mug of tea warming both hands….looking forward to having a peek at some white Stargazer Lilies which had opened since yesterday……there was someone there having a look before me!…Lol

Wondering what to do now, this tiny Snail, about the same size as a Hoverfly looked as if he’d been climbing the north face of the Eiger!

“Muuuum!” what shall I do now?"

“This is really living life on the edge!”

“Gently does it….better not get my shell in a twist….:o)”

“If only I could reach………..”

“Hey…..you with the camera, give me a hand!”

Good job he slid away this morning, later the Hover Boys turned up!….:o)

Great blog, Janey and lovely photos. I felt quite an affection for that little snail - I know what it's like to be small and unable to reach things!! What a lovely lot of hoverflies you have - too many to count :)

Ha..ha......I hadn't the heart to send this one flying over the fence......(the pub next door is empty and has a long, overgrown garden) so I put it on the leaf it was trying to reach, I suppose its eaten it by now!...Lol

We've had loads of Hoverflies here today, they semed to be mesmerised by the Lily perfume.......am quite fond of them though...:o)

The same here Sk....over the weekend there's been thousands......got rid of any aphids tho....:o)
