I’ve never seen or heard of this. It’s beautiful. It reminds me of a toad Lily.

We woke to snow! I’m glad your Apricot is going to bloom.

Wonderful photo Klahanie.

Thanks for that Julia…good to know.

Looks very special Wylie.

Thank you Shirley 🙂.

I do like the creamy yellow ones in pics 3 and 4 and how lovely to have blossom on the Apricot tree.

Sheilabub thank you. I’ll take a look

Thanks! Moraeas are also known as Peacock flowers and are fairly easy to grow. There is someone I know through the Pacific Bulb Society who hybridizes them, and he has some really spectacular results.

Thanks for looking in Eileen and Amsterdam.

Have a look at Nandina domestica ... evergreen with attractive foliage all year.

Owdboggy Thats brilliant, thank you . I'm liking the 'prickly' bit lol

You do show some incredible flowers ... I love them!

Oh dear, I hope your Fuchsias have come through ok. I fear now that I may have more plant losses thanks to all this rain. The lawn is squelching if trodden on and there are pools of water in some parts of the borders. We are on clay so perhaps the water has nowhere to go now ... :o(

I agree with Janey and could put them in a photo frame.

I thought it was a painting too Kate! It's brilliant!

Such a shame Klahanie. I am lucky as I live on the east coast, there are not many frosts here.

I hope mine has Shirley, but I took a cutting from the main one but are both in the garden.
I would go and check but it's raining again!!

Have a look at some of the dwarfer Berberis like B. thunbergii in various forms or B. buxifolia nana.
Nice, easy and PRICKLY!
