A lovely sunny Sunday…..nothing to watch on television (Yes….and I mean it!..lol)
Been so busy in the garden, greenhouse and allotment “us time” has been much neglected recently.
We had a nice stroll round the harbour and a quick whiz through the Sunday Market (not one of my favourite places to visit…unless its the plant stall!!
On the way back home….we passed our favourite Italian…..(restaurant silly!!)
and popped in for a coke and a plate of spag. bol……very tasty…only a tiny spot of sauce on my blouse (blush).
We got changed out of sauce spotted clothes and headed off in the car….to one of our favourite places to visit….a National Trust property…Wallington Hall…I love the walled garden and the huge pond (not quite a lake) there.
Naturally I took a few photos, but tried to avoid the ones I showed you last year……a small selection follows…
The lovely day ended with a barbeque……….“perfik”

It is a lovely place to visit. Great pictures Aa.
The old former head gardener Geoffrey Moon comes into the garden centre I work in occasionally and a few weeks ago asked for a Lemon Verbena plant. I knew there was probably a connection here and not coincidental as I remember as a kid visiting Wallington and there being this really large specimen of Lemon verbena next to the door of the greenhouse/conservatory that you brushed past. This of course released the scent. I told him that I remembered the large plant at the door and he smiled thinking about it. He's very frail now and I always make a point of speaking to him when he comes in.
