Spring flowers on my balcony
I thought I would make a blog with the Spring flowers that are open on my balcony today. I’ve included a photo of the balcony as seen on coming up the short path to the entrance way. You will also find a couple of photos of one of my Amaryllis that I have grown from seed, this is it’s 2nd year in flower.
Here is what they looked like just under a month ago:
Hope you like these few photos of what is in flower on my balcony right now!
You can see below what my balcony looks like as you come up the entrance path to the entrance of our block of flats!
Here are a few photos of my Amaryllis that I have grown from seed:
Well that will do for now – I need to keep a few back after all! Hope you enjoy these photos of some of the wonderful plants that can be found in flower right this moment!

That's all looking to be thriving, Balcony. It makes a lovely first sight for visitors to the flats too :)

Hi Balcony
What a cheery sight to greet you in the mornings - you certainly make the most of the space you have.
As for your amaryllis they look marvellous and I particularly like the colour of the pale one.
It's hard to believe that it's only March isn't it ?

Looking lovely ... so many beautiful blooms showing on your balcony. Those Amaryllis are just terrific ... I do so like the one with red striping.

Very nice. The spring colours are so fresh aren't they, especially with the sunshine on them :)
Your amaryllis are wonderful this year again. I remember them from last year. I'm pleased they are flowering again so that you can enjoy them, and we can enjoy their photos :)

What a lovely colourful display , you did so well to grow the Amaryllis from seed they are beautiful, did they take long from germination to flowering?

Thanks everyone for your great comments!I enjoy having all these plants in flower, I do them for myself really but if other people enjoy them as well I also like that!
Bernieh, the striped Amaryllis is one of my hybrids! I ought to commercialise it! :-D I think I have another one that should open during this week. I've just brought it into our living room from the kitchen windowsill.
Pansypotter, I had to wait 4 years to see the first flowers! They germinated in just a few days & then it was a case of potting on each year. I wonder if planting them in tomato growbags for their 3 year has anything to do with the enormous flowers last year?
Nariz, there are a few gaps because a couple of the terracotta pots got broken & also because I couldn't find any more of them. I have enough metal rings to fill all the length of the balcony railing!
Thanks, Hywel I'm glad you like my Amaryllis. As the bulbs can be grown on for many years this is their 2nd year in flower. I'm pleased you remembered them from last year & that you like them again this year!
Bloomer the photo of the balcony was from the entrance way into the building, strictly speaking there is no garden path. I often get comments from people during the summer!

A couple of weeks on since I made this blog & the balcony is looking even more colourful! The Crocuses have now finished & some of the Daffs are looking a little worse for wear.
It's strange but most of my Amaryllis this year to date have been the red ones! I've only had one white with red stripes so far.

Great pics Balcony, wouldn`t it be lovely if more people were like you and filled their balconies with colour.

You are so right, Stroller! If only! After 10 years my balcony is still the only one to be filled with flowers!
