Noticed there is a peacock (?) detail on the fountain........
And Byzantine double headed eagle lost his apple and holds just the sword - what has happened to the apple - guidance of the the Holy Lord and the Gospel Truths.

Wonderful pictures of some beautiful scenery Bik. Looks like a magnificent place. I think (from what I've seen in pictures) that Greece has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Always been a place I'd love to visit.

Bik it is some breath taking scenery,nice to see the Sternbergia in flower I have grown it for some years but it never has the required baking to make it flower.
The lotus fruit look very edible are they.

I actually wonder, what is lotus fruit. Is it what is sometimes called hurmi-kaki?

The blue sky & sea, glorious scenery, very interesting pictures of the monestaries, beautiful cypress trees against the back-cloth bluest clear skies, the wake of the boat.
It's all so wonderful.
It makes me kinda 'homesick' for Greece.
