We have some clouds here in south west Wales and we also have some sunshine but no frost. It isn't as warm as it's been though :( I hope it returns. - not too much but just pleasant enough to feel comfortable.
I hope it warms up for you too.

Ground frost here this morning in Newcastle Bloomer at six.Now it is eight thirty and the sun is out and no wind so it might be a canny day :-)

We've had our third night of frost, price we have to pay I suppose for the lovely cloudless skies........

I had some Coleus in my little plastic greenhouse and they caught the frost, so no more coleus. That was inside !! Luckily that was the only thing that got it, but I am going away tomorrow as well, so things will have to go out today.

0 degrees in the greenhouse last night according to the greenhouse thermometer. luckliy plants inside and apart from a painted fern that is looking a little sorry for itself today everything else ok.

Hywel,luckily it soon disappeared,and turned out to be a sunny day...but the wind got up again..Although not as bad,but it was pretty chilly at times..
So you have had it too,Mavis..It is so changeable..it has started off calm every morning,and then its just as though someone turns a switch on,and the wind gets up again..then early evening it goes calm again..!..Weird !

What were you doing by the canal at 5.30 this morning,Sticki? .Don't know if its me,but I have felt chilly most of the day..even in the sun..I hate cold winds..we went out for the day,and I was glad to get home,to be honest..but the train rides were good..I was nice and warm then !Lol.
That is so true Pam..my mum,and everyone else's ,always said that..they were very wise..and all the blossom was very early..and almost gone already..Think I could do with putting a'clout 'on.! .Lol.

I do hope you are right..so many of us are going,or have gone away..on holiday..not the best time of year to choose when you have lots of plants to see to..I never gave it a thought,to be honest..until we had booked,and then it came to mind..a bit like bolting the stable door,as they say..:o)

I have been planting out today petunas and Coleus and a couple of shrubs , all the others will go in next week so fingers crossed no frost!!

We didn't have any frost either, still cold though, but...it's 12:37 at night, and the wind and rain battering against the window is shockin'! I haven't been able to get around to putting in the supports for the hardy geraniums...they'll be 'hardly' geraniums by the morning!

They will just have to take pot luck,Carole..mine definitely going in shortly..rain forecast for weekend,and I haven't even got my pots ready yet..next thing 'to do':o )

Yes, we've had 2 or 3 days of frosty nights. The night before last I waited up to see if it was going to be frosty. My neighbours must think I'm mad as I went outside at about midnight with a head torch on and covered my sweetpeas and hubby's tomatoes !

Yippee..no frost last night..and some rain at teatime.,today...at last ! Not as much as I would like,but didn't need to water tonight..heaven..everything looks a totally different colour,so fresh,and the lawn looks green !
