MORE GARDEN PICS END OF JUNE

Some more pics of my garden, it’s disappointing in parts, partly because of the weather and partly mistakes:-) The first is the view through the lounge window where we spend a lot of time, especially since the weather hasn’t allowed much gardening time outside.

Little pond

This is new to me, in fact still in its pot, fabulous colour, Campanula Glomerata Caroline.

This is Mortimer Sackler on corner circle patio.

On the other side is this magnificent wisteria…well ok it’s not magnificent, but it is a wisteria..Amethyst Falls and I think it will go.

Riot riot…I predict a riot…of colour!

Some nice grassy types, love Feesey, buried in a pot, but I bet he escapes one day:-)

Massive hosta.

Greens…the hosta is a division from massive hosta and is equally as big. All of the plants here except Euonymus and Fatsia are in pots

I love this Fatsia, It’s made a lovey tree, must be happy here.

Arty pic:-)

Ok I was stupid…I bought two Wisteria Amethyst Falls. They sounded wonderful, not as big as others and flower right away. I was hoping for dangles and got blobs. This one is bigger than the other. doesn’t even smell lovely. I’m going to ask if a family member wants to give it a home. Here it is, it’s attached to a small trellis in its pot.

Gardens are always a work in progress Ba....thats part of the fun!.....but saying that it looks lovely despite the awful weather

Love your garden Ba, do you have fish in the pond?, give the Wisteria a chance, I'm hoping to grow one in my back garden :)

1 Jul, 2012

Looking good Ba . . I love the grasses round the pond, and the new Campanula Glomerata is gorgeous. I've just put up a pic of my C. Glomerata - deep royal blue (but the photo doesn't do it justice!).

It's looking good BB, love your Wisteria going to put it on my wish list.....

1 Jul, 2012

Beautiful!

1 Jul, 2012

You won't be disappointed Sensei, it's so lovely:-)

1 Jul, 2012

Thank you Franny:-)

1 Jul, 2012

I don't suppose I can moan Pam, only had makeover in 2010 so most plants are pretty new, it's just you see so many perfect gardens on here don't you:-)

1 Jul, 2012

Thanks Boo, I would love a beautiful flowering wisteria myself lol, not this one though, I honestly wouldn't recommend it. There were three fish in the pond and I know there is at least one as I saw it briefly the other day. My water is green and impenetrable so can see nothing. I did treat it as per instructions a fortnight ago, perfectly safe and environmentally friendly stuff....nothing happened no wonder it's perfectly safe Lol:-)

1 Jul, 2012

Thanks Sheila, I'll have a look at yours:-)

1 Jul, 2012

Hi Stripes, are you joking about the wisteria? If not, it's a pity you don't live nearer lol. It's nothing like the lovely perfumed dangly ones. Mind you, you often wait years for them to flower. I believe you should buy them in flower too in case they never flower:-)

1 Jul, 2012

Thanks Michaella:-)

1 Jul, 2012

Your garden's beautiful - nice and colourful. I hope you can find a home for the wisteria. I think it's pretty.

1 Jul, 2012

Thanks Hywel, have you seen how stunted the flowers are though ?...I was expecting lovely perfumed dangles. I suppose thats the compromise if you want early flowering :-)

1 Jul, 2012

Your Garden is lovely Snoop and over your fence is lovely too, not just more houses:-)

1 Jul, 2012

it looks beautiful BA, your pond is gorgeous, love the grasses and that hosta, that clematis is stunning and so many greens ~ really lovely

1 Jul, 2012

Thanks Sticki...what do you think about the wisteria?:-)

1 Jul, 2012

well if you saw the one that used to be here you would think yours was in a chelsea garden!! i thought the second one in the pot looked good, will the other one grow more as it gets older?

1 Jul, 2012

Your garden is gorgeous. I think any wisteria with flowers is magnificent - so please do not belittle it ;)))
I'm just jealous as my wisteria failed me miserably.

1 Jul, 2012

Oh yes it will grow Sticki, but the flowers will always be stumpy. Oh well...I do rather like wisteria leaves...maybe keep one:-)

1 Jul, 2012

Thanks Scottish...it's just I thought they would dangle lol:-)

1 Jul, 2012

They will dangle BA, dont despair!
Its only a baby, you have to be fair
But why cry "Oh dear" and
"disappointing" I hear, when
Your hostas are spotless, crisp and then
That wonderful Fatsia (should cover me just)
It looks ruddy gorgeous dont know why your fussed!

1 Jul, 2012

Hello my dear Tetrarch
Now where have you been?
They're the stumpiest dangles
That I've ever seen.

They're just sticking out
And not hanging down
They'll just be the same
when they're fully grown.

It's dangles I wanted
Not just little stumps
Lovely long dangles
Not small purple lumps:-(

1 Jul, 2012

Now don't get upset,
or succumb to Hysteria,
It's listening you know,
Your unloved Wisteria,
Talk to it nicely,
and cheer it along
and lumps will be spangles,
before very long..:o))

1 Jul, 2012

Cant wait to get round there and see it in the flesh so to speak, its all so lush and look at me just how a garden should be.
So glad you showed your Fatsia (that sounds a bit rude) given me an idea as to what to do with mine as it looks like a big blob at the moment.

1 Jul, 2012

Been catching up on Goy tonight & I thought I'd leave your blog til last so I could have a nice browse through photos of your lovely garden (all looking beautiful I must say, & have added to favs for further inspection to find mistakes!) & then you have to lower the tone with talk of "Dangley bits" & "small purple stumps"!!!

1 Jul, 2012

LOL!

1 Jul, 2012

Bloomer, I think you may have topped BA there! LOL! and Willi, you are a dry beggar lol!

1 Jul, 2012

Hi Tet..lovely to see you again..and hope you are fully recovered..I don't think I will ever top Ba..just noted I missed the word 'to' before 'your unloved Wisteria '!
....tough! :o)

2 Jul, 2012

Hiya Tet lovely to see you....SiSters back together again in Ba,s lovely garden....room for one more Willi?

2 Jul, 2012

How true Pam! Mmmm wasnt I a Moonie? hehehe

2 Jul, 2012

I've talked to it nicely
I feel such a dope
I've seen pics of its family
There just aint no hope

The old and the young
They all look the same
Amethyst Falls?
The lie's in the name

Instead of Niagara
(Now that would look pretty)
It's more of a drip
Purple stumps, such a pity.
