Nice one Dawn! We've also got Acer griseum and the Silver Birch, but I hadn't thought of taking photos of bark . . . maybe next time it's sunny . . :)

I do love the paperbark Maple quite fascinating, I am still waiting for our Jacquemontii to turn that beautiful white, ours still look like ordinary silver birch!! (perhaps they are lol) the weather has been glorious, was very cold this morning though!!

Wonderful selection Dawn, when I see the bark peeling on these trees it makes me want to rub the trunk, they all fascinate me, no room here so I'll have to make do with admiring from afar...

I have been making the most of it too Dawn....can't believe how good the weather has been....I have been bramble bashing and nettle pulling all over the garden. More of the same tomorrow for us. Happy days..:-)

What beautiful trees Dawn, and what an unusual colour that osteo is! You have some lovely plants. The weather is so nice it is easy to put off getting ready for winter, but I did get round to planting a few bulbs today. Next job really now is planting some broad beans.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments.

Oh yes Stera, broad beans go in in the autumn, dont they.

Sounds like we've all been busy and enjoying the autumn.

I love the tree barks too.

DD - I must admint, I have gently wiped the trunk on the Betula with a soft, wet cloth ;-)

Oh Dawn it has been some time since I have even been on GOY, just peeked in and when I saw your name on the blogs, I just had to have a go...It made me crave being around GF's garden in N. Wales it did! We are both still very happy being life partners but my time away is now June through November...I fly back over this Dec..the garden will be waiting for me to put it to bed...late I know! Your lovely bark and berries and late flowers and colorful fall leaves are wonderful...so nice to see you here...I must try to do better this winter and get back to pictures of mine and GF's work in our gardens again.
