Climbing Roses

Feeling excited. I’ve placed my first ever David Austin order :-)
Now I need to prepare the planting sites!
I have a cyber rose guru friend who has taught me how to prune all different rose types, tie in and feed etc. :-) so I’m a little more confident.

Lovely Roses Dawn. A Shropshire Lad is one of my favourites.

Great selection. I've spent ages in past years drooling over Austins catalogue but never actually bought any so they've stopped sending it...

Lovely choices, looking forward to seeing their first flowers.

Thanks everyone, I'm glad you approve. I've always shy'd away from DA due to the prices but as it's the bare root season a bit cheaper.
I use Micorrizhal all the time now Meadow, thank you.
Stera, the catalogue is beautiful isn't it, they're giving free copies if you request on their website https://www.davidaustinroses.co.uk/catalogue-request

Oh very nice selection Dawn, I don't have any DA roses, to be honest until a couple of years back I wasn't really very keen, then we were out visiting a Grand Mansion, (as you do) on our holiday and the rose garden was all David Austen, it was beautiful, sadly not really any space left to add more here, saying that The Pilgrim one looks lovely, wonder if hubby would nag me if I suggested another arch....

Thank you, I'd like to visit the DA garden one day, I've heard it's amazing.
You could suggest an arch lol, I think roses are a must have :-)

We go to Mottisfont sometimes, not too far away.
The roses of course are excellent & DA used to have a sales area there, used to browse but never bought

I'd love to go Meadow., I've heard in June the fragrances are amazing. I've not heard of Mottisfort Gran.
A Shropshire Lad seems popular Amy, I'm sure I'll like it as much as you :-)

DawnsA, Mottisfont maybe a bit far for you, one of the best collections of older roses, National Trust owned, sometime TV programmes come from there at rose time

They look lovely, I;ve never bough DA roses, no reason except I've not a lot of room, if I had space I think I'd try them
