It's a really good year for roses isn't it? They liked the cooler spring and the rain that came with it.

What super blooms. As Pb says, its been particularly good for roses, so far. Can you tell me the name of the black and white flower on the last but one picture?

Thank you everyone. Waddy her name is Zola. Yes she is a rescue cat Shirley tulip she has been with us almost three years now and has become very confident and happy cat. Sheilabub it is a Clematis montana var. rubens 'Pink Perfection'. The Campanula lactiflora 'Pritchards Variety' (milky bellflower) was sent to me by Hywel in 2011.

It looks lovely Denise, my roses are doing very well but sadly everything else is flagging, no point in trying to add anything as the ground is solid in some areas, dust in others, trying my hardest to eke the water out, cannot even remember when it last rained so luckily the weeds aren't growing either, you do have some stunning plants and I am quite taken by the very happy cattypuss plant, looks like a very fine specimen, really enjoying the sunshine, lol...Typically I bet the rain , when it does arrive will forget to stop again, probably awaiting the childrens summer holidays...

Thanks Denise. I bought a C. Prichard’s a few weeks ago, and when 14 gardening friends came to visit last week, that was the plant asked about the most :)
