Oh joy woke up this morning and the birds are back singing away.
At my local garden centre I got a 1/2 price hydranga petiolaris well the other one was lonely? – and 60 litre bags of garden organic compost was also 1/2 price must have been be kind to customers day! and I bought a load more bulbs while I was there. Spent the afternoon planting. Now I have three bags of compost awaiting plants well thats my excuse.

I've got a great big 125ltr bag of compost the other day, now i'm waiting for some plants to be delivered.

I've noticed too that the birds have been away recently and today I saw a blackbird in the garden - the first time for weeks. It is lovely to see them back. Good to have got some great bargains too!

I love bulbs too yesterday for my back garden I got
Allium - Aflatunense, Purple Sensation. Neapolanum, and caeruleum never had alliums before.
Narcs - King Alfred (my fav cos it was my first ever over 30 years ago), Mount Wood, Little Gem, Tete a Tete,
Muscaro- dark eyes
Tulip a mixed bag I chose a deep cream to set against Queen of the Night
Anemone - St Brigid mix - again an old favorite
Blue Bells - English do well in my dark woody areas.
Snakes Head - Fritillary Alba a first for me
Eremus - Foxtail lady again a first for me
Lots of mixed crocus
Snowdrops
Dwarf Iris
Hyacinthe I was given this so do npot have a name
and I have still have a few to put in yet.

My front garden I will tell you later

I'm trying Aconites this year. Never grown them before. They are corms really but come out in the late winter.
I really like the specie crocuses too and the dwarf daffs and the King Alfres ones. - well I don't know where to stop really lol
