Some East Sussex hedges

We saw these on out walk this morning and I was struck by how tidy they were and how litter free.

If only our hedges were litter-free like yours, it really angers me to see so much litter around this part of West Sussex ! Various groups do litter pick-ups, voluntarily, they shouldn't have to though.

I love pic. 6....Yes they all look as if they have recently been pruned
looks nice and neat....i don`t think the birds appreciate these Hedges
so neat, Mind you, though some of the country lane Hedges are
dangerous, especially when in the car......

they do look good dont they, think cut recently, our local lanes have been done lately by farmer, ready for budding and the nesting time, nice pics Drc :o)

Thanks everyone. All the hedges are well cut around here but come high summer they make the lanes very narrow between cuts.

The first couple look like hawthorn - fabulous in May, and I bet cow parsley grows there too. Absolutely gorgeous. Wish you'd taken a photo in May rather than March, Drc!
