Lovely photo there Sandra. The butterflies really do like the budleija don't they? Always wanted one in the garden but thought they were too large for a small space, then saw them advertised yesterday in the paper and these only grow to 3ft high.

Lovely shot. I have 5 different buddleias in my garden and often get clouds of butterflies.

19 Sep, 2010

thanx Anchorman, lovely to have the budleia and all the butterflies isnt it, makes summer special.

19 Sep, 2010

It does. My garden is planted particularly with butterflies and other nectar loving insects in mind. I have a substantial nettle patch in the wild part of my garden below my small plant nursery because I'm told many butterflies lay their eggs on nettles.

19 Sep, 2010

thats interesting i have plants from the nettle family so wonder if they lay on them to, iv had so many this year, but like you i have plants to attract, cottage garden plants ;o)
