New Pond

I made a herb garden about 4 years ago but suddenly it looked very overgrown and untidy.
This was it at the beginning.
Then there were a few herbs.
And then I decided to dig it all up.
So now it has a little pond and an area to be planted again.
I promise the grass will look better when I take delivery of my new mower – the £5 one from the Boot Sale has finally given up!

Very nice Ginellie, £5 lawnmower can`t be bad even if it only lasted a season, are you trying for another bargain like that?

Good idea . . . it's going to look great. What do you plan for the surrounding plants?

So beautiful. Sometimes I wonder how people manage to do so many things in their gardens, especially if they are married. Don't they ever face opposition from the other half? Wife not interested in gardening at all, never goes out in the garden, but watches through the window and disagrees with everything I do in the garden. Am I really alone in this respect?

That's really sad, Costas. Would it be worth trying to discuss your plans with your wife beforehand? If she has the chance to say what she thinks first, she might be less likely to criticise. We do have some arguments, but usually try to compromise. Good luck :))

Costas mine hardly ever goes in the garden but never criticises as she say's it's your place as long as your happy but i'm not intrested...

Thanks for your comments everyone. The £5 lawnmower was great while it lasted Lincslass, but I saw a battery one advertised in a newspaper so I've sent for that. When I first came here it was like a field and I had a sit on mower that the previous owner left behind. Now I've got rid of a lot of grass so I haven't used it for a long time. No fish Mavis, but I'm sure the frogs will visit. I'm hoping that the waterlily I had in my other little pond will do better here. It's in full sun and not too deep so fingers crossed. I think some grasses would look good Sheila but any suggestions would be welcome.
Oh Costas that's a shame, especially when you make a real effort. I have no-one to please but myself and I must say I like it that way. I can do whatever I want and if I get it wrong it's my own fault. I'm sure it's nice to have someone admire and appreciate things though.
