the vibrant colours of Mesembryanthemums[Livingston daisies]
These livingston daisies are so cheerful and bright and the recent awful weather does not seemed to have harmed them.
I love them and with a bit of deadheading daily they will continue to brighten up the garden for a few weeks :-))
I grew them from seed and thought they would have perished in the last few weeks but I am so pleased that they haven,t…..
now i,m looking for nice sunny warm weather to lie on sun-bed and enjoy them lol….

I love them too, my grandmother use to call them miserable daisies, as a little girl I couldn't understand why lol.

These are lovely and cheery Helen! Though no matter how many times I try to pronounce their name I'm finding it too much of a mouthful lol :o)

I like them as well but forgot to sow any this year, the first time I ever saw them was in 1961 in the garden at the top of the Great Orme, they always used to plant them en-masse and it looked spectacular.
Your garden looks lovely Helen...

Its crazy isnt it Helen? Have just had a stroll down my garden and a weed, the ground is really soggy still!! Its madness.

Lovely bright cheerful colours Helen....can't think what your gran was seeing through her eyes. That said I don't see them at the GC as I used to. An idea for a couple of my shallow bowls for the patio next year, if I can find any.....I am no good with seeds. The weather forecast for parts of Scotland sounded very wet again yesterday. Lots of other parts of UK too. Lets hope the sun gets out and shines on you in the garden in what's left of the summer.
