April & May
April was colourful in my garden, mainly because of the Forget-me-nots, there were hundreds of them and there didn’t seem to be any space between them – my garden was a sea of blue
except for a few Dandelions poking through :) can you see them ?
April also brought a splash of colour from my £1 Woolworths shrub Prunus triloba. It’s very pretty but never lasts long enough for me :-
I had some pretty plants flowering in my borders …
Primula vulgaris
Pulmonaria angustifolia
Omphalodes capadoica
Saxifraga urbium
As May progressed I had some Aquilegias coming into flower,
and Mecanopsis cambrica which I am glad to see in my garden now – over the years it has been in the hedgerow outside but very reluctant to enter.
And of course the lovely Dicentra, now called Lamprocapnos spectabilis :(
(and if they must have a change of name I wish it would be something easy to remember and pronounce !)
The end of May brought out an Early Clematis – Dr Rupel
and an early rose – Eyes for You
Now we’re half way through June and the days are nice and long, and the plants are loving the sunshine.
I’ve got lots of alterations lined up for my garden and hope to be getting on with them during the summer and following seasons so I’ll keep you posted :)

Some lovely blooms Hywel. I like the Omphalodes. I wish they would’nt reclassify & change plant names. You get used to one name & then suddenly it’s being called something else. Dicentra is a name I always seem to remember, so that’s how it will stay for me, I guess. I can’t grow it though :-(

Thanks for all your comments.
I'm sorry you're getting adverts Jane, lots of people seem to be plagued by them.
I've got two adblocks installed on my laptop so never see any.
We've had both sunshine and rain Eileen but it has been rather cold.
I've never seen orange Welsh Poppies. I didn't know such a thing existed.
Good luck with the Forget me nots Callie I hope they grow well for you.
Dicentra only lasts a few years for me Feverfew, then they die off and I have to get new ones. I had a white one last year but it hasn't shown up this year so I guess its time was up.
