Holly, cotoneaster, pyracantha and hypericum.
I think the names are all correct..
Some berries are still to appear.

Sure is an abundance for them, thanks Lincslass. It’s a lovely time of year for colour in our gardens and food a plenty for the wildlife. :-)

Thanks Janey, I took these pics at the start of the week when it was still lovely weather! Yes, I think their are more hypericum varieties than I thought.
Thank you, Sheila:-)
Thanks Klahanie, I’m like you regarding the seasons. I like to see the changes I must admit. Lots of colours and bounty as you say.
Thanks Paul and Arija, it’s a great time for rich warm colour isn’t it! I like to see a blue sky backdrop showing off the autumn harvest and berries.
Thank you Lilybell, that’s kind of you. :-)
Thanks Chris, I think I was lucky with the bright autumn sunshine!

Thanks Hywel and Shirley. Yep, especially the blackies. They do love the berries, don’t they!
Thanks Eileen, liking the Keats reference. :-)

Ode to autumn is a favourite poem from childhood Kate. as my birthday is in Sept it was often quoted to me in my birthday cards from my favourite uncle. he linked autumn development to my aging. sounds a bit creepy now but it wasn't. it was all linked to life cycles and nature.

That’s really quite sweet, Eileen. I think it really was a kind thought from your uncle.
We did Keats in A level English at school, love his poetry.

Lucky you, Kate. I didn’t do A level English until my boys were doing their A levels ... had the metaphysicals which I still can’t explain!

I did love English lessons, Sheila, I loved school full stop, didn’t really want to leave..
Yes Davey, an abundance for them to eat!

I missed this somehow. Beautiful atmospheric photos. I love this time of year too, slightly melancholic, like the Keats. We had redwings gobble our crab apples last year. Plenty for them here, too!

Thanks Ange! That’s lovely.
Yes, it’s a really atmospheric time from now til November, lots of misty mornings and evenings, warm colour and cosy fires. It must’ve been lovely to see the redwings taking the benefit of your fruit!
