Springtime at South Ferriby pond.

I was driving through the village the other day and I thought I’d stop off on my return journey to take a few pics.
It’s looking nice with all the bulbs starting to bloom, but, I don’t think it’s even close to it’s optimum colour and flowering time. I shall have another glimpse next week as I pass through…

I think I can remember you showing the first photo before,Kate and we were thinking 🤔 how realistic the heron was..

Thanks Julia, yes, that’s right. I posted a blog last year with pics of the pond and the surroundings. It’s a nice little village right on the Humber. I use the little post office cum shop often.

Thank you, Eileen. We do have some lovely villages - including yours - around the Humber.

I love the pond and all the spring flowers round the tree and wall border Kate. Especially all the crocuses!
I also like the little path up to the pond !

Thanks for liking, Rose. I can see why the villagers while away their free time here in the milder months. I’ll be keeping an eye on this area from now on..
