Christmas at Pipe and Glass.

Six of us enjoyed a lovely Christmas get-together last Saturday night.
The food was just perfect, the company perfect and the setting, yes, perfect.
It was really nice to catch up. We were booked late so pretty much last to leave!
I must say it was a much more sedate affair than our team Christmas party the week prior.
Although, that was a really nice evening with good fun and company.
Hope you’re all getting in to the Christmas spirit and looking forward to catching up with friends and family x

It looks so inviting from the outside and certainly doesn't disappoint inside! A lovely place to eat and meet with your friends.
Have a lovely Christmas Kate. xx

I bet you had a lovely time there. It has an excellent reputation in the area. Beautifully decorated as your photos show.
I had a fantastic afternoon tea there a few of summers ago, the garden is as you say wonderful.
40 yrs ago when it was under different ownership and more of a posh village pub, hubby and I were refused entry as we were on a motorbike and they didn't want 'that sort' in the pub. Even when we pointed out what our respectable jobs were and the bike was worth more than most of the cars in the car park. Thankfully the current owners don't have those prejudices

Thank you, Hywel. It's such a warm, rustic restaurant. Very apt at Christmas, but also very nice in the warmer months too..
Hope you have a lovely Christmas and enjoy the weekend, whatever you have planned.

Thank you, Janey. We really enjoyed the evening. My friend Joanne booked our table back in the summer. It was late, at 8.30pm, and we were last to leave! But well worth it!

I knew you'd know this place, Eileen. It is a really nice restaurant isn't it.
Golly, it sounds like the new proprietor is much more amenable than the last one, then!
Dress code must have been a must back then. No need for rudeness though is there! You must have been really quite annoyed.
It's a pretty village too, very chocolate box.
