Capturing some autumn colour on a chilly, sunny Sunday.

Popped out with Eve and OH, this afternoon.
Eve was distracted, albeit focused on something in yonder corner..lo and behold, up popped a little mouse.
She had been sat concentrating for some time..obvious aware of the little thing creeping behind the shrubbery.
She didnt catch it as she’s not as quick as she thinks she is…
Lovely crisp blue skies, very chilly in the shade, but the sunshine was quote pleasant. We’d been out shopping earlier and after lunch, pottered in the garden.
Not much to see anymore. Any blooms I had are now gone. Only 3 roses, a nemesia, a salvia, a sedum and one dahlia flower remains. The leaf colour is transitioning very slowly this autumn. My acers haven’t been as striking as previous years..
Hopefully, I may capture some scenic pics out and about tomorrow.🤞

Kate, your photos are so good, especially the Acer leaves and the mouse. I bet Eve will be looking around for that mouse all the time now ... :o)

smashing blog. The first frost will deepen the autumn colour too. Lets hope you mouse friend doesn't decide to 'come in' for the winter.
Its country cousin tried that here last year. It took me 3 days to catch the thing. preferred that to poison. released out side.

Hope work takes you to some pretty places.

Wow! Some gorgeous photos, and the little mouse is such a cutie! A couple of days ago I saw a Bank Vole! It scurried past me into the hedge, paused long enough for me to confirm not a rat, and then ran off. First one I’ve ever seen!

Thank everyone!!! Pleased you like the blog. I was happy little mouse managed to get away. However, I'm in Scotland this week, 5 days, OH messaged this morning with accompanying pics - Eve caught a mouse, then let it go...she was scurrying around for ages trying to find out, with no luck.
She's determined!

Eileen, I bet you'd give up quicker than Eve!!! She's got plenty of time mind you!
Karen I can only imagine your relief!!! Nice to see your little vole visiting though!

Oh, it wasn’t in the courtyard Kate. Thank goodness! It was in the street about half a mile away.
