I thought I`d write something just to start me off. I`m a very keen gardener who spends as much time as possible outside. I work in a garden centre so I see so many different plant varieties and get lots of ideas for my planting schemes. The downside of working there is spending a great deal of hard-earned cash on plants and garden products. The upside I get discount and first pickings in the sales.

I love roses and have more climbers than anything else. I also love palms and acers and am lucky enough to have a garden centre nearby that sells so many varities of acers that I`m spoiled for choice. I have a place that is just crying out for an acer so I`ll be visiting that centre next spring to find the perfect one. I also love heuchera`s, they really brighten up a flower bed with their lovely foliage

What a shame Gardener`s World has come to the end of it`s present run, mind you, I look forward to the three specials that will be televised from next week on Friday 10pm.

Happy Hunting from another Acer lover. Do yourself a huge favour & get this book before venturing out. Japanese Maples by JD Vertrees & Peter Gregory.
I have about 20 Acers & do they ever take different sites.
I wish I had this book before hand.
