Very good Leigh, its nice to see Alfie taking an interest, my sunflowers started out ok and have now come to a standstill, I guess like me they only grow on sunny days, which they certainly won`t be doing today, at the moment we are getting two fairly good days out of seven, its also colder, grrr..
I cannot remember seeing a slug in years so I guess thats why my frogs are fatties but OH BOY,I`m sure the snails are thriving more in all this wet....

Your plants are all doing well but Leigh I think your pot covers would work better if you turn them the other way up, as at the moment the slugs will climb up the sides to reach the plants the top of the plant needs to be covered over . For your Lupins you may need a full bottle with the lupins being so tall, just cut the bottom out and place whe whole bottle over the plant;0)

That's such a good idea about the plastic collars around the Lupins!

Yes the slugs are a nuisance. I'm glad you're protecting your plants from them.

It all looks really good LL. My dahlias look like your sunflowers ~ b****y slugs. Will they still grow and flower? Wasn't sure if just to pull them up. What is the pink flower behind Alfie? It looks really pretty.
