Hello all,
Its Brynner here.
I`ve been having tablets for 2wks now but my ears were so bad and the ear canals were blocking up, I had to go into the clinic for further treatment under anasthetic, I went in on Monday, one of my eardrums has perforated but it should heal in time, Mum has to wash them out daily with special liquid, that is fun and we play chase and catch for quite a while, plus I get lots of massage which I like.
The vet says I need treatment for a long while, possibly all my life, they have sent swabs away to be checked and we are waiting on the results…
I am feeling better now and I think I am a brave lad, plus I have a posh blue dressing on my leg to prove it…
Mum says “Thank goodness for Pet Insurance” but has still stopped my pocketmoney…..

Simbad, our Sarah's chocolate lab has been on a strict diet, to lose weight, he had a problem with a leg and the vet said his weight was too much for him, so diet he has had to do, well he, like all labs loves food, the other day Kevin was out walking him and they saw another dog walker who was encouraging his dog with treats, Sarah and Kevins dog ran off over to this random person and sat down and immediately offered his paws up and begged for treats also. We could not stop laughing, think he must have thought the poor dog was starved. He did give him a treat, but Kevin was sooooooo embarassed. lol. very funny they say never work with animals and kids don't they.
Lincslass hope Brynner feeling better soon, he is a lovely dog.

oh Brynner --you are so brave...
my english setter had leg problems-and ear problems--- some genetic and some just 'setterish'!--- and she had a special diet food that filled her up without adding calories ( and she never did stop being accident prone!)

You are such a handsome dog, Brynner, with that very fetching blue dressing on as well. Lucky you, to have Mum giving you a massage each day. It won't be long until you get your results, I'm sure you'll be fine, just keep taking the tablets! : o ))

Brynner! I have to have pills to for my thyroid problem, after my Mum pops one in my mouth I push them to the side, and spit it out when she isn't looking. Tip from Basil the cat

Brynner says thankyou all, the vet is not sure about his hearing, personally I think it is selective, a bit like a naughty child, lol.
Olive, Morgan my daughters choc/lab is also on a strict diet, except that is when he is faster than us and manages to steal something, he can at times move like greaselightning, we feed both boys on Purina, Morgans is Purina Light and I have to admit it has made a big difference to his weight.......

Teds I`m laughing here, Brynner already knows that trick, we even tried holding onto him whereby forcing him to swallow,it didn`t work, he spat one out after a full 5mins of holding it in his mouth, they have to be crushed on his food and I stand guard,lol...

Poor Brynner. I hope you're feeling better now. It must have been very unpleasant for you to have all that treatment and I hope you won't need much more in the future.
