Sad ending to a Buddleja.

Once I had a beautiful butterfly bush and it was attracting a lot of interest by the butterflies and bees galore, then my garden companion decided it was taking up too much room. Handsome isn`t he and looks as though butter wouldn`t melt, well he`s been threatened with the order of the boot, the bad lad has decided one of my bushes is too big and has pruned it in right old doggie fashion..
Just look at the state he`s left it in.
It was all over the lawn and yard as well…
I know its in the dogs play area but I am still very angry..
As you can see he sulked after his telling off then less than an hour later had another go at it..
Luckily I do have another bush…
I`ve warned him if he touches that one his life won` t be worth living..
On the good side today was quite sunny and I did get my lawns mowed also deadheaded my flowers (again) that takes ages when doing the everlasting sweetpeas and roses, so not all bad……

It'll do well for a good prune but just try to explain you're supposed to wait until the flowers have gone!!

LOL,even after a mega scolding and smack on his nose with the instruction NO BITE, the naughty boy has had another go, he`s doing it when I`m busy with something else, like a child would....

oh dear sue, naughty boy, hope its ok, i was telling another lovely member about deturing doggies from doing naughty things, a quirt of water when they go near something you dont want them to touch, invest in a water pistel sue, apparently they soon learn not to go near the said item , and it doesnt hurt them, remember your the pack leader in your house/garden lol

How could you get angry with a sorrowful face like that. Never mind you will have to give it another (lol) pruning a bit earlier this year.

Poor doggie! He was just "keeping out of mischief!" How was he to know you're not supposed to "prune" these shrubs in July! :-D LOL!
