I'm in a village between Ashford and the Kent coast, just on the edge of Romney Marsh.

I think its a brilliant idea, hope more members pop in.....

Just a tad south of Loughborough..Leicestershire ...near the river... but on a hill

On the coast of E. Scotland...about 8 miles south of Arbroath. Look up above Edinburgh, go North to the Firth of Tay and look at the bit that sticks right out in to the sea...the Barry Buddon...and that's where we are! :))

Almost in the English Channel ... between Worthing & Littlehampton in West Sussex ... :o)

Yorkshire you will properly seen me working in the car park at Tesco Brighouse if you ever go there. They are some good restaurants in Brighouse as well as Czerwick Cheese & Wine shop that has to be the best in the north of England.

lol Lulu, that's the prob - basically, anywhere that's got clean air (well, cleaner than this bit of London, which wouldn't be hard) and isn't on a flood plain! well, that also has good public transport and shops fairly near. and - and - but those are the basic criteria.

if you hold down the CTRL button and move the mouse wheel back and forth, the page will zoon in or out - there are other ways to zoom, but that's the one I find easiest

lol Lulu, my three main criteria for this new flat were: ground floor, private garden, outside any known flood risk areas. This end of Tower Hamlets is on slightly higher ground than the riverside end. Of course, halfway up a mountain is safer still! but then there's landslade and avalache risks *s*

Not on my mountain, and only 12 minutes drive to a small town heaving with bars and restaurants. I'd pitch it against Tower Hamlets any day! :o)

I live highish on a plateaux, not near a stream or river but this rain!.....we have mini lakes everywhere!

Puddles everywhere here and looks like the bits from half a dozen oak trees have covered the garden with green confetti.

Sticki - it finally stopped raining yesterday just before it got dark. Today has been dry with sunny spells - got loads done in the garden (including cutting the grass!)

Stopped raining about 6ishpm yesterday, I got up to sunshine today and it was soon very warm, all lawns mowed and strimmed, considering how much the lawn at the bottom of the garden has been swimming lately, it was easy, planted a few things out and also had a session working in the greenhouses, my tomato`s are all planted in the rings, so I`m a happy goyer...

Sunny here Lincs, today but tis raining again now. Managed to plant out my courgette plants was going to mow the lawn but didnt :~( maybe tomorrow!

We had no rain all day! Unbelievable!

are we the only country in the world that can have hosepipe bans and flood alerts at the same time???

Probably Fran..........we let it go out to sea in the rivers without capturing it on the way I understand........

Yay! I mowed yesterday and strimmed and now it's raining again. Looks like another 5 days of rain for our part of the country...The lawn looks good though!

I managed to finish digging my veggie patch/garden yesterday it was a beautiful day, planted lettuce seed, radish and some butternut squashes and generally pottered about and enjoyed myself in the garden for hours and hours. lol. but not today back to rain rain rain!!!

I had some successful retail therapy instead.....cheered me up noend!

Oh well I guess it was too much to hope for another good day, had to go shopping which I hate so treated myself to two Fuschia`s at Morrisons as a consolation prize, off down the g'house after dinner to plant them, at least I can work in there....

Well Sticki I,m very pleased, going to function where the dress code is' cocktail'....... always difficult..... and found a floaty top and skirt with big pretty pink flowers and an off white short sleeved jacket with little bows on the pockets and just had to have some white and silver sandals.......you know how sometimes shopping just goes right!!

oh well done you pam ~ i NEVER get it right but its really nice to hear when someone does.
