Courtcourt Gardens

Drc recently posted a blog to tell us that GoYPedia now has a section on Courtcourt Gardens, so I am sending a couple of photos of my courtyard garden in the City centre of Norwich, which we left almost 3 years ago.
It was just an overgrown patch when we moved in, and we transformed it within three months of moving in. We did have the help of an experienced paver who carted away masses of weeds and bramble too. Although it wasn’t an amazingly beautiful garden, it was quite nice, especially the raised pond. We only stayed there a short time as I couldn’t manage the stairs (2 flights).
It may not be good enough for GoYPedia though. It was 15 feet x 18 feet.
You may notice 2 water butts in the corner – very useful.

Well you're very kind, thank you. Actually I wasn't upset to leave as I was still 'grieving' for my Magical Garden, made from scratch (in my pictures.)I do prefer the one we have now to the courtyard.
I visited our ex- next door neighbour, next to the courtyard garden, and saw that they had got rid of the raised pond, and filled in most of the flower beds to make room for the ubiquitous barbeque. She was appalled.
Strangely I didn't feel upset atall, maybe because we moved to a bungalow with a well designed small/medium sized garden, to plan and re-plant.

I felt like you when we left our old house and garden of 18 years, but we did exactly the same, and moved to a bungalow, and best move ever.I can see our old house from my kitchen window,as we only moved round the other side of the bowling green ! Not missed it at all.As they say, onwards and upwards, except in
our case,Mad,..onwards and downwards..no stairs..:o)) Great isn't it?

Oh Mad, I would have loved to have joined you for a bottle of wine in that beautiful garden. You should feel rightly proud. :-)
