Whilst our gardens are still showing beautiful floral colours, the supportive foliage is looking just as splendid enjoying the mild temperatures.
Walking around the garden today I was able to take many photos. The thought of not reaching for a second clothing layer mid October ( or very near ) is so welcoming.
Hope you are taking advantage of it too.

Fabulous blog Julia. Your Hebe Bannow Bay is so pretty … just the thing for my new raised bed! I shall look out for it.

When I looked up Bannow Boy it came up as Pittosporum! Is that related to a Hebe? (Sorry, I’m not familiar with either …)

Lovely to see your colourful foliage Meadowland, and it's nice that we can continue to enjoy our gardens in this warm weather.
I've got that Hebe Lady Ann but didn't know what variety it was, so thanks for naming it :)

So many lovely small shrubs Julia, and aren't we enjoying the warm temps..:) The colours here are only just beginning, it's usually early November when they are like fireworks!

What a lot of colour in your garden still Julia!
All the colours are so different too.
I never had much luck with the Callicarpa and tried it in both gardens, one here and the other in Laceby, so gave up in the end.

Thanks for the correction Julia :)

A wonderful blog of so many leafy plants & shrubs you have in your garden, Julia! I liked them all but unfortunately I don't have room on the balcony for them! 😥 Your Acer is starting to look very good!

It seems early for hard frosts yet but better safe than sorry. I hope it's a milder winter than last year.
I've taken several cuttings of Lady Ann and they're in a heated propagator so should have plenty of it next year :)

I missed this! What a fine selection of shrubs you have, Meadow. It's got much colder here, too, and very wet. Most of our acers have dropped leaf already.

some wonderful colours in your shrubs. Autumn can be so colourful can't it?
There are many grasses coming into their stride now too.
