Deadheading and Rocket!

I spent today doing pottering in the garden. First all the Cosmos needed deadheading. The sun even came out during this. Various cats from the neighbourhood wandered through, coming for a sniff of the Catmint!!!
I’m sure it makes them a bit ‘high’.
Then I thought I should pot on the Sweet Rocket Seedlings which were fast outgrowing the very small tray they had originally been sown in. I put some in a couple of planters to use as a display in the spring/summer and the rest have been given their own pot to spread their roots:)) I had to empty out some daffodil bulbs from last year, which had been resting in one of the pots, together with some tulips. Trouble is they (daffs) have begun to put out roots so they will have to be found a home fast!!
A cup of tea around 3 o’clock went down nicely and now a sit down with the paper. There’s nothing like a quiet afternoon pottering…:)))

You had a lovely day. Pottering is very relaxing and you can get a lot done too.

Thanks Bloomer, they have made a good show this year. While I was deadheading I was stung by a bee, I think I must have brushed against it. There were lots all around the cosmos. Luckily I had some Antisan which stopped my arm swelling up too much!! It can be hazardous in the garden sometimes!!

Oh dear,Pam,it must have thought you were after it's dinner Lol..hope you are ok,that Anthisan is good stuff, isn't it?..so useful for lots of things..I often wonder how the intrepid explorers coped, years ago..when out plant hunting..!

Well if that's the case, our garden must qualify, with it's own stone gardener & his cat...Pam :)))
