Hi Dawn the dragonfly emerged from the casing its still clinging to.

As nymphs they can spend several years in a pond eating anything they can tackle tadpoles water snails etc ..they then climb up reeds rushes etc usually at night and hatch from these cases leaving a perfect empty shell behind.

Ray wrote a blog for me to include my pics and explain the sequence.

OMG... Bonkersbon that pic is worth a gold medal... If I could I would give it. Going to my favorites.

Aye she does ..clever isnt she? done the whole house in record time mm yes its hard to explain Soccer our NFL or baseball ..I ve often thought even if we had the world series in our own country we d still lose ...
