Thanks everyone ... Janey I honestly don't know if you would class it as a succulent , I will have to look it up , it was given to me 3 /4 years ago it has 5 of these flowers on it this year ..... I have to stop and stare at it every time I go in the greenhouse :o)

Just had a look on the net Amy...its a south African bulb of the Amaryllis family, it really is amazing!

Oh is it , thanks Janey you'ved saved me a job .... apparently they like being crowded in a pot so you shouldn't repot them ... that's all I know !

Thanks Milky , I love it .. it was given to me by a lady who was clearing a greenhouse out that belonged to her husband after he died , I don't think she knew much about it .....
