Yes we had rain the first since February

We've had rain for last 3-4nights and most of today and we have got it for nearly all next week as well, i know we all need rain, but up here when it does rain it doesnot know when to stop.

Glad everyone is getting rain for their gardens...
... but not TOO much for Blackpool.... Lol...

I love rain. It freshens the place up, but I don't want too much. Glad you've had some though :o))

We have had some too, its nice to see that even the grass is starting to perk up , it would be nice though if it rained to order, showers during the night and sunshine through the day , but then I have always been a bit of an idealist lol

.. but it seems some areas of the UK have only had enough rain to fill the water butts... not enough to improve the lawns ....

When you don't receive any rain at all for 7 to 9 months...then you can call it a dry spell (like here in San Diego, CA.) LOL!!! :>)

Yes, Britain is not used to dry weather in springtime !
7 to 9 months would be a very long dry spell ....

Delonix1, you had your share this Winter though. Was in Palm Springs 4 - 3 months & the rain kept going your way. Love your city.

The rain we had was insignificant because we are on sandy soil and even though it has been well manured over the years it drajns through very quickly.In a perfect world it would rain overnight and be dry in the day for gardening.

Yes ... the gardens are used to lots more rain at this time of year ... regular overnight showers would help a lot !

Yes, we finally had some really good rains this year. It broke our 7 year drought.

I had to water my pots and new plantings again last night, we could do with lots more....but not at the weekends please.

The weather forecasters keep talking of showers ...
... and they show maps and charts of skies with raindrops

... but not much sign of rain this week yet....
